I remember now that Micheal Imperioli stated on the Talking Sopranos podcast that Liotta is playing Dickie's father/Chris' grandfather. The nephew thing is just like on the show where everyone is an uncle/aunt or nephew/niece. Chris calls Tony his uncle and Tony calls Chris his nephew when they're really not. Tony's kids call several of the guys uncle "Uncle Paulie/Pussy/Sil/Jackie/etc.".
