Been playing this game for years, and this is the longest I've ever pitched in a single game. Absolutely no relievers left on either side for twelve innings, and my dude's only an 81 rank overall, haha. My dude Buzz actually got two doubles and Travis Jankowski walked us off! SLAMMING!!!!

This is on PS4. Threw 180 pitches which is way crazy and way unhealthy. I mean, this is my dude -- basically a slower Patrick Corbin or something.

I've only played The Show '19 and it's been fun for years. I, too, don't really care about Diamond Dynasty or online stuff. Making my own rookies in Road to the Show and turning 'em loose on the baseball world is way more enjoyable. I hear The Show '21 ruined that this year, but they made a few strides in fixing it (although knuckleballers are all out, IIRC). Not sure if they've fixed all the biggest things.

I thought the game might be called or something, but they just let us plug away. I got a couple strikeouts on weak fastballs in the dead center of the plate a few times (Tyler O'Niell struck out six or seven times or something. Matt Vasgersian actually has a line about someone doing that poorly, haha.) Dunno how I got through with my HR/9 stat so crappy, but it worked out.

My Stamina went up six somehow, which is amazing (the highest single-statistic increase I've ever seen) considering I threw about 80 pitches when my stamina was completely depleted. Usually if you get to that point in a game, your stamina stat actually starts plummeting, so dunno how that happened.

Meanwhile in mlb 21 I got pulled pitching a perfect game with 20k through 8.

They gave up a hit in the 9th.

And thanks to the god awful attribute growth of mlb 21 since its locked in dd, I got like 1/2 a k/9 to like 35.

I thought they fixed the slow-ass attribute growth rates in '21? SDS was at least aware of how many people hated it and said they'd fix it, but I haven't paid too much attention to it since RTTS was all banjaxed. I think they finally allowed pitchers to have more than three pitches, though, so...yay.

Yeah you can have 5 pitches.now. Gaining stats is still ass. In 20 you'd pick your prototype and you'd locked into that.

In 21 since they also force you to be a 2 way player you can effectively chance your prototype every game. So those are now cards you have to level up from bronze to diamond. Which either take about 10-12x as long if you only do rtts or they require you to play a lot of dd and rtts.

I'm enjoying the game and dd has been fun, but I'd rather just play rtts if it wasn't so bogged down.

Yeah, I heard a lot of the RTTS changes tried to funnel people into playing DD. Kinda want to try the newer game, but maybe I'll just pick it next year's version. Maybe they'll put Shohei or Vladdy Jr. on the cover.
