Rye Whiskey is American whiskey that is very similar to Bourbon but uses a majority of rye instead of corn so it is drier than Bourbon. Boulevard specifically uses Templeton Rye barrels. Note that Canadian Whisky (no "e") is often called Rye Whisky, but many modern ones don't actually use much, if any, rye anymore.
