There is absolutely nothing someone needs the new iPad Pro

The $300 base level iPad can do everything the most expensive one can do, until Apple gets their heads out of their asses, the 2018 iPad Pro will be the last iPad I purchase

just because it has more power doesnt mean its more useful than a base level $329 iPad

I have a 2017 10.5 iPad Pro, and a 2018 12.9 iPad, and my 2018 is identical to the brand new one, as there is nothing that needs anywhere near m1 power on the iPad

Honestly, if theres any one saving grace of the M1 iPad Pro, its that the M1 GPU is extremely powerful by tablet standards. Its roughly equivalent to a GTX 1650, which is more than capable of playing most games at 1080p with high settings. Genshin Impact runs at basically PC High at 60fps

The main thing I appreciate about the iPad Pro is the largest 12.9 inch screen. Luckily enough, I am still rocking the 2017 model as i write this post. Back then it really was $800 and I got it on sale so it was even cheaper than that. Not only that, but I got the keyboard and pencil off eBay for a much more reasonable price.

So, what now costs $2500 i got for less than half that. And, even though its from 2017 its still super fast.

Well Apple did release an update that allows apps to request more then the previous 5gb RAM limit so apps can benefit from the 8gb and 16gb RAM amounts from the M1 iPads.

Honestly, the biggest issue with the iPad Pro M1 is not that it's a bad "value" for the hardware, but that it's a bad value for the software. It's nothing short of ridiculous to have laptop-level performance hardware and have the limitations of iOS. It's like putting a V8 engine in a Ford Focus.

i don't regret the purchase.

I dislike the actual implementation of their designs (ie removal of the 3.5mm Jack sux) but I think because they do shit like this that in combination with their proprietary hardware that the Apple environment usually performs in such a pristine manner

I think too not allowing unnecessary stress to exist in their hardware by limiting options to the end user that their products actually tend last a really long time and still preform well

but yeah, still, their price tag totally sucks
