Before 1965 the USA allowed Mexican migrant workers to freely move here during the agricultural season and freely move back afterwards.

And the vast majority did so. But then they took away all the work visas and replaced them with permanent resident visas, from 500k to 20k.

So now you have immigrants who dont return home, like they want to, for fear of being caught.

And yet the only reason they are here is American companies knowingly recruit illegal immigrants to do dangerous hard work for low wages.

The USA created an underclass of vulnerable workers to feed the agricultural industry then decided to make those same workers criminals.
