It took me 5 tries to beat Bahamut and Ifrit but then Pride and Joy took me literally like 90 seconds first try. Why did they make it so you can just stun lock him by killing one leg after the other over and over again, I didn't even get to see any of his attacks

That is a common refrain though, the Bahamut fight being brutal and rolling over Pride & Joy. Pretty sure it took me a few tries on Bahamut and the one I won was only because 2 characters revived with 1 HP due to that weapon ability... whose name I don't recall. And then first try P&J though I don't think I figured that stun lock strategy, but it was a forgettable fight anyways.

Any chance you have Intergrade and were able to try the new Sim fight there or still playing original 7R?

I'm playing Intergrade, what was the new sim fight? I cleared them all as far as I know

Oh I think it might only unlock when you beat the Yuffie episode. I just heard it becomes an additional fight in the Chapter 17 simulator. I won't say more! But I've avoided watching any youtube videos on that battle, figure I'll experience it whenever I actually get/play it. Would be interested in your thoughts on it whenever you get around to it.

Sweet. I wanted to beat the game on Hard for the first time before tackling Yuffie, but I did just beat it. Sephiroth fight wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, probably because Gotterdammerung is so obscenely broken...

i havent fought a boss yet but against normal enemies it seems like you can literally just mash the triangle button and kill everything

Yeah throwing and then using windstorm (it's stronger if an enemy has a shuriken on them) wrecks like 90% of Yuffie's fights.

I just fought the first boss in yuffies story, the gigantipede. Man she is so broken its ridiculous, I feel like there cannot be a challenge because she can just do everything on her own

Yeah, this might be the hardest fight without cheesing him, and looks like there's a strategy on the remake board I'll be using. This isn't fun.

The first phase is pretty easy when you know the tricks and the 2nd phase is hard but doable. The 3rd phase felt practically impossible so just make sure to win in phase 2 or save some limits for phase 3 and finish him there.

I definitely had to look up a strategy, but basically the one I used was to let him hit you enough to build up tifas limit break and then stagger him right when he transforms to his 2nd form, do a bunch of damage and then use tifas limit break right before it runs out. You then get the last hit of her limit break as he's finished transforming to his third form, so then his stagger bar gets almost completely filled up and you can stagger him very early into the third form and not have to deal with the healing.

You need all 3 teammates to have a weapon with reprieve because this let's him use immaculate end when he turns back into first form, but this has the benefit of filling everyone's limits up. Then you just have to end the fight normally

Well 2 people is less than 3 people so that hurts. I also didn't have the patience to actually farm optimal materia or anything like that.

I mean Weiss is a gimmick fight and once you know his gimmick he's not too bad. Top Secrets is just difficult and you actually need to dodge/parry things or it's going to be real hard.

Both fights took less than an hour so it's not exactly Dark Souls over here but Weiss was 7/10 and Yuffie vs Top Secrets was 9/10.
