Im currently losing weight and it is shocking. You can practically eat the same type of food now a days but substitute it for low calorie alternatives for FAR fewer calories. Granted its not as good but it ends up growing on you. It isnt like they are bad.

Earlier this week I had spaghetti. I removed the meatballs from the equation and replaced the noodles with this squash that was cut into noodles. It was actually decent and very low in calories.

Yesterday I had Shrimp Hibachi. I used Brown Rice, Shrimp, Onions and Peppers with low sodium Soy Sauce. It was a crazy amount of food for under 1000 calories that I ate throughout the day. That is all I had and I couldnt eat anymore.

Hell, 2 days ago I wanted a PB&J sandwich like a child. I discovered substitutions and I made 2 PB&J sandwiches that was about 300-350 calories total.

This morning I was in the mood for pancakes and looked up low calorie pancake recipes. I saw one where I could make 3 pancakes that totals about 300 calories with low sugar/sugar free syrup.

This is crazy. I can probably substitute everything and it will actually be really good once I level up my cooking skills. I want to try to make low calorie sushi next which probably doesnt even take much substitution. I just need to actually learn how to make it lol

What counts as non food? The only thing I can think of it my examples was probably the jelly substitute I used in my PB&J sandwiches? I tried some brand called Skinny Girls jelly. It was the very first one I tried and was ok. I havent tried to make the pancakes yet so maybe that is also true

I dont count calories. I watch ingredients. If I dont know what something is, I dont ingest it.

When I cut out soda and switched to water, it was just to save money. I ended up losing 50-60 pounds. I had no idea.

Yeah man. I cut out white bread and instead used muffin bread for tiny sandwich for lunch. Lost a bunch of weight that year. Trying to kill chips now.

Yeah that's what I tell people too. Most people have no idea the immense amount of empty calories they ingest from sugary drinks be it juice, soda, or iced coffees loaded with creamer and syrup. Just drinking only water and coffee with one or two creamers allows me to basically eat as much as I want and I've stayed 140 lbs since freshman year of high school. I'm 28 this year.

I also try to avoid bread where I can, and eat some fruits and veges when convenient. I also try to get my micro nutrients from cheerios that are fortified but that's more for overall health and not weight loss.

I sub chips with porl rinds. But cookies and soda are indeed bad.
