This isn't really true.
People place the blame on big business, but who is it that consumes their products? They aren't just polluting because they think it's fun to do, they're making the products that YOU use. People could very easily dial back their consumption but they're too narcissistic to change their lifestyle in even the most trivial ways. I've noticed many of the people who think they can't make a difference because they're just one person, etc...are registered voters. Hmmm

Not really.

There is very little average Joe Q can do with their spending habbits to effect the amount of polution The US and Chinese industry pumps out.

And even less they can do by voting, especially for China
