Did you know this?

Its true.

In the original series of Kung Fu, David Carradine who played Caine was actually a white monk in china. which also explains why he had a white son in the legend continues too.

Even the actor who played the young caine had said the character was white after he left his shaolin monastery in china to search for his half american dad.

So for all the complaints of a female lead in the reboot, why is that more unbelievable than a white male in a shaolin monastery?

If a reboot doesnt have mandatory complaining attached to it, I'm skeptical about calling it a reboot at all

David Carradine didn't even know any martial arts IIRC
He only knew sword fighting and boxing

maybe it's because I watched the series as a kid, but I used to believe that David Carradine was Asian (or at least biracial).

David Carradine was white.

Kwai Chang Caine, the character, was half Asian, half white. (White American dad and Chinese mom.)

David Carradine learned Kung Fu after he started work on the series.

I should point out that women historically were not allowed to be a part of a shaolin temple.

Of course, I know this from frequently watching 1970s kung fu movies with female leads where they are trained by temple masters. I think it will be okay than we have a woman in Kung Fu.
