If it was a first-time allegation, sure, wait for the facts. However, part of Brown's negative rep is through his own admissions. That does not warrant a benefit of doubt anymore. If he ends up falsely accused while having confirmed rep of prior domestic abuse....that's on him now. He dug his own grave.

Although its not like a provocative yet wealthy music celeb is going to seriously roast for it anyway. Not when rabid fangirls still feed his status.

It's not about what he deserves, it's about you expecting someone to take on a responsibility that might leave them in a bad spot with no meaningful impact to the situation. The people in it have to not be enabling the behavior for you to have any chance of any sort of meaningful impact. Otherwise, you're just complicating your life for someone who will immediately write off your efforts. We don't know enough to even know if anyone is willing to be saved. It's more complicated than "just do something about it bro".

But would you want to believe your brother if he told you a story about how she was physically coming at him to the point he had to do something to get her off him? Cause it's not like these guys are just being like "Yeah, she hurt my self esteem so I popped her". They play off your want to believe they wouldn't do something like that. They show you a completely different side of their personality. A lot of the time the friends never see the evil side and it convinces them there's no way they just did it for no reason. And you don't have to completely believe him, you can have reasonable doubt. Just enough reasonable doubt that you don't want to fracture your family circle off something you can't be absolutely sure of all the nuances for.

Like I said, shit is complicated. You're making a huge life choice based off things you never asked for and don't have all the details off. It's easy to be on the sideline and have no cinnevtion to any of the people and tell others what they should do. But you're telling people who are actually in the shits.
