North Ireland is subservient to and is part of the UK. Ireland is free. I think Ireland would like to absorb North Ireland someday if they can. It used to be their land. The British basically stole a piece of old Ireland centuries ago and the Irish have never forgiven them

After England conquered Ireland, they started establishing plantations as a means of exerting greater control and suppressing the local culture.
