Do you hear a Chinese accent in her English?

She speaks fluent Chinese in her other videos. But the comments are saying that she has gotten so used to speaking Chinese that now her English has a Chinese accent. She is originally from California, USA and moved to China for university. But can living abroad for too long make you lose your original accent?

Uh of course you can, I went from "Downday estaw El BAN YO" American English to returning to the states after a year in South America, having forgotten certain english phrases and pronouncing my R and Z like they do in spanish

No she doesn't have a Chinese accent, she just sounds like a 5 yr old anime girl.

This. Also people lose their accents when they move to a different place. As a Californian though, she sounds accent-less to me which probably means she just sounds Californian.

My country ass American accent is more pronounced when I'm talking to my coworkers and students.

I sound Korean when I talk to my family back home.

*shrugs*

Yes, I can hear it. It's pretty subtle, but it's there.

It isn't uncommon to pick up accents when you live in other language speaking countries. Happened when I lived in Japan, and South Korea.
