I dont think our souls/consciousness/spirit/whatever get placed in another being but I think when we die our bodies make their way back into the earth eventually which helps birth things like trees, plants, and in essence life.

Used to believe in it. I used to think I had a past life in ancient celtic Britain. I wish it was real. It would be nice to think I'll get another go around and be young again someday. Reincarnation appeals to me but I no longer think it's very likely

No reason to believe in it, and generally, I find giving exceptional properties to consciousness as wishful thinking. You are electric signals in a wet mesh, and that wet mesh is biological matter, and you will end when it no longer functions.

Yep, to the full extent. So, that includes being reincarnated as an animal or as a higher being as possibilities. Youre not just automatically reincarnated as another human.

If matter has always existed it's not really news then that we're just pieces of others offloaded (lol) into parts of ourselves lying dormant or serving purpose to some bodily function I mean even the very same CEmen gets recycled back into our sewers or on a paper towel or into the washer cycle we're EVERYWHERE :D --- ... I did meet a coworker who told me he purchaseed a cat who he owned in a prior life. I hope he didn't tell the person making the sale this information, because they may have gouged him, but he said when he walked into the pet store he knew as soon as he made eye contact with the cat.
