Is "He lives in you" referencing the moment when Rafiki is telling Simba his Dad lives in him, or is this a song from the sequel I don't remember?

Yeah, it's the best song imo. Saw it on Broadway and was like "wtf is this" but then it turned out to be pretty good so I was like "aight"

I saw the play in Las Vegas and He Lives in You and Shadowland were both incredible. I've still never seen Lion King 2 though.

Circle of Life will always be a classic, but yeah He Lives in You is actually a really well made song for those "direct to video" sequels.

For the record "he lives in you" is actually a cut song from the original movie, that was not included for time. It was supposed to play during said Rafiki scene.
That's why it sounds so good, it's actually from the first movie. They included it in the Broadway musical and then later, made it the first song in the otherwise crummy direct-to-video sequel. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
