In a lot of ways, theyre two sides of the same coin. Alien 79 was a blockbuster pretending to be a B-movie & Terminator (1982??) was a B-movie which became a smash hit big time. Overall though, the multimedia of Alien blow Terminator out of the water, and I think it has had more influence on designs from the pool of artists. The psychology of the Xenomorph, phallic & dark, is fascinating.
