Marriage is to be considered after spending a fair amount of time dating someone; I'm not saying "minimum one year" but if this is the very first time I've heard about my son dating someone this old, much less wanting to marry, it's time to forcibly eject that man from my home and have a very long talk with the son. 20 year old son and 47 y/o dude and they've been dating a while? Would probably get my blessing because anything I'd want to say on the matter like "he'll be dead and you'll still be 50-something" would've already been said. --- Remember that I won't rest, 'til we share the same tense Just know, to me, you're better late than never again. ...
