I've known people who had them as house pets and eventually they get big and will take over parts of the house. They are pretty well equipped to fight too, with sharp teeth, claws, and a whipping tail. My friend used to tell me stories about her Iguana kicking both her cats asses whenever they crossed paths. Sometimes he would go outside and climb up a tree and it was dangerous getting him back in. I'm not rooting for this guy or anything, but unless you're a vegan I'm not sure what high ground and of you have on him. He's getting his own food, not killing for sport and removing himself from factory farming by doing this.
