This pre-recorded Treehouse/State of Play format is not doing it for me. E3 used to be a real night at the movies. A joy to watch in discussion threads. Now? There's no "event" to it.

Well I mean, theres also just nothing to show or announce apparently so I'm pretty sure it'd be lame no matter the format.

Well, the main advantage to the crowds during the conferences was hearing the crowd reactions, even if they were mostly game's journalists.
