Freddy is the better character. Period.

The Jason Character didn't even know who it was for the first 3 movies.

I felt like they needed to give Jason more to do. It was kind of cool when Freddy goes into Jason's nightmare.

Freddy just has better powers and is the better overall character. I get that they had to make Friday the 13th fans happy too though.

Iirc the director thought that the only way to make the movie possible was to have one of them as a 'hero' and as a 'villain' and picked Jason for the former. I love Jason's design in this, though.

And I think out of all of Freddy and Jason movies, F13th part 6 is the best because of how hammy it is.

I love both series, but in the movie Freddy was robbed by that hot bitch Lori.

Their first fight Freddy had the upper hand in the dreamworld because the writers gave Jason a fear of water. One that does not exist in any of the Friday films.

Outside of the dreamrealm Freddy is just a normal little dude with a burned body. Any version of Jason would DESTROY him.

Freddy only stood a chance because of plot induced stupidity.

Subconscious fears is the way I saw it.

And no, the fear of water doesn't mean anything. Dreamworld Freddy is pretty much unbeatable, it's why they always bring him into the real world to kill him. Jason, at best, would have just been roflstomped or made into a kid and drowned again.

And as for their final fight? Freddy had the upperhand the ENTIRE fight until Lori lit the dock on fire and caught Freddy's attention. 1 on 1, Jason was losing hard.
