Spider-Man doesn't fully know what Sandman can do at this point, so he just punches him with all his strength and puts a hole in is abdomen. And is genuinely shocked that his insides were full of sand, instead of just painting the wall behind him with viscera and bits of spine. And look at the force he hit him with: sand is heavy and hurts to hit, and with the explosion coming out his back that is obviously in Peter's mind a killing blow. Bad form, Peter. --- "You go.
