i was reminded of this because of that big case in the l.a. area. Iirc the mother of the 6 yr old that was killed flipped them off

More than just being shot. They can do a lot of dangerous shit in a road rage incident. You'd have to be nuts to drive to provoke another driver in the middle of traffic. There are guys who get run off the road or slammed into. Hell, there was that one incident where a guy wound up following somebody home like 15 miles then attacked them in their driveway with a tire iron. Why would you take a chance like that?

Sorry, wasn't entirely clear. I flip people off all the time, on bike or in a vehicle. I follow the road rules pretty damn explicitly. My point was that people here don't kill each other over such things.

Usually theyre gone before I even think about it. They are always speeding while I always do the speed limit. Besides, my little pickup isnt big enough to challenge a Dodge Ram. (And its almost ALWAYS a Dodge of some kind.)

Except there are a ton of HA there. So youre more likely to get beaten if you get the wrong guy than somewhere that isnt a bigger city.

I wait until one of us is turning or otherwise taking a diverging path to flip the bird to ass holes.
I do fear getting shot or being followed by some psycho, but ass holes still need to know, "hey, you suck, go fuck yourself".

I give people a big thumbs up when they pull a maneuver that even gets me in a tight spot on the road (Im definitely a defensive driver)

I feel like a thumbs up is just more emotionally devastating and more likely to end with me getting stalked home and stabbed 57 times

I only do it when someone does something really dumb/dangerous to get in front of me especially if I end up by them at a signal light. Like you risked peoples well being and got nothing to show for it cause I ended up right beside you anyways.

The odds of somebody getting that mad at you for just driving are far, far, far lower than if you blatantly cut somebody off or try to provoke them by flipping them off, flashing a sign, or cursing. It's like the difference between leaving your car unlocked in your garage vs leaving it unlocked out on the street in the worst part of town with a sign in the window letting people know it's unlocked.

I passed a guy over a dashed double-solid and he flipped me off as I was passing him. Not sure what that was about, but I found out right afterwards that my brakes were in working condition.

Made me think. Weird i have multiple guns and a concealed carry permit but never actually carry a gun.

To be fair I only have the conceal carry cause my job just gives it to you. A limited version thats only applicable in state.

I just aint prone to doing shit that would put me in harms way when im in public and i doubt id have the balls to try and play hero so why bother. Well maybe id have the balls had I a gun on me but as said I dont carry the thing
