It's anonymous, not untraceable. Pretty much like how cash is - you can walk into a shop and pay with a $20 bill and no one needs to know who you are, but the bill still has a serial number on it and if they really wanted to they could (hypothetically at least - in practice it's unlikely that enough people have kept enough information along the way) track it by that.

Exactly what info would be used / etc is different for Bitcoin of course, but the underlying "anonymous, not untraceable" concept still applies.

i think it more like there were security cameras that day you were there to spend the money. no way the serial number on cash bills is tracked.
