And, vice versa, ignore positive encouragement.

I use to think I'm going to succeed in life just so I could prove all my doubters wrong and throw it in their face. I later realize how dumb that was... only wanting to succeed cause they said I couldn't do it? I wasn't truly doing it for myself, I was doing it for other people I probably shouldn't even care about. When I realized I want to succeed so I can have a better life for myself and the people I truly cared about, it was one of those incredible enlighten feelings. To be motivated to succeed by discouragement and doubters is spiteful, hateful and makes you a pessimistic bitter cold person. I'll take true happiness over all that any day. #LiveLaughLove

Well when people talk down to you iy makes you mad and makes you wanna prove them wrong or it makes you feel bad and so you improve yourself. When you get positive people are happy and when you are happy/content why care to improve?
