Yeah, probably. I had the 3RLOD on my 360, my PS3's wifi failed within a week of getting it, had to get that replaced. Even my Wii failed, I think also the wifi, had to get it replaced.

Yeah, for the most part. Although, I had more issues out of PS2 after launch than PS3. The original PS2 model had issues almost as frequently as the 360.
My PS3 did end up losing power, but it was after nearly a decade. --- ...I think I'm done here... ... Copied to Clipboard!

PS3 infrastructure was apparently too complicated and frustrating for game developers (idk why really) but the hardware itself after the fatty model was reliable af.

The reliability was spotty at best but at least they didnt launch them severely underpowered like the PS4 and Xbox One Sony/MS got the reliability down after they slimed the consoles. Sony also had that whole thing with PSN getting hacked. But as littlebro states they were higher end tech at the time (especially Blu-ray) compared to PS4 and Xbox One shipping with slow ass HDDs, CPUs and GPUs. Xbox being the worse of the two as 1080p gaming isnt even feasible on it. --- @macdamurderer GT: Mac Da Murderer ... Copied to Clipboard!

Probably, yeah. I had issues with every (first) console I had that gen.
I had a launch (or near launch) 360 that never actually red ringed. I used it from 2006-2012ish. It always had freezing problems here and there but it started to do it a lot more toward the end toward the point that it was getting hard to play anything. Thankfully my dad won a new one in a raffle and gave it to me, and I just switched the HDD to the new one (I actually used that like 20 gb HDD for the whole gen and never upgraded). It was one of those arcade ones that didn't come with a HDD. I only used it for maybe a year or so but it never had issues. My first PS3 I don't think ever straight up broke but it had overheating issues. It would sound like a jet engine after an hour or so of any game, and I think shut itself down a few times. Eventually replaced it with a slim. My Wii had a weird graphical issue and I had to send it in to Nintendo to get fixed. I got it back and it didn't do it anymore (not sure if replaced or fixed). In contrast I never had issues with my PS4, Xbone or Switch. ... Copied to Clipboard!
