Eating lots of fruits, veges, fatty meats with low sodium content, getting in omega 3s, protein with every meal and if you feel like snacking eat unsalted mixed nuts.

The biggest hurdle is craving stuff like pizza or being at birthday parties or social gatherings and being offered cake. I guess carry a bag of apple slices?

What are some handy nutritional tips you would give people struggling with weight loss?
