Random Byes: Rey/Kylo vs Praetorian Guard, Anakin/Obi-Wan vs Dooku I, Palpatine vs Windu/Fisto/Kolar/Tiin

Eliminated Day 1: Rey/Finn vs Kylo Ren

I hear the ask for some of the animated duels, but alas this is just for live action. Anyway, due to my love of Star Wars I will also write about each elim.

Rey/Finn vs Kylo Ren is for sure one of the weaker fights in terms of action and has some serious issues as far as Finn lasting longer vs Kylo than Kit Fisto lasted against Palpatine and Rey outright beating him. I get that Kylo Ren was injured, but even still I feel like someone trained by Luke, and a Palpatine clone should be able to beat a random stormtrooper in no time flat and even with her immense natural skill, Rey should still be a quick beat with no training. I do like that Rey displays a Palpatine style of lightsaber attacks with her wild jabs, its a nice little thing that pays off later. I also love the setting of this fight. The atmosphere is fantastic. Finn also becoming brave after being a little chicken the rest of the movie is awesome. I wish they had actually paid that off in the rest of the trilogy but they botched him left right and center.

Finn shouldve lost an arm in that fight, get it replaced with a gun, and learn to be a sharpshooter. Ex-trooper sharpshooter.

Kylo is generally just trying to toy with Rey in that fight, he's doing the whole "join me" spiel. I don't really think he's out there trying to outright kill them. I think his ability to dominate the two is diminished by the bowcaster blast until he has extended too far with Rey. I actually really liked the fight.
