I think she's probably the Courtney Barnett of our generation, personally.

I have 4 of her albums on vinyl to include her record day one from few years ago. Amazing lyrics and a good guitar player.

Yeah, for sure. She's amazing. I understand that's she is not for everyone, but she is very talented and has a way with words that few others in this gen do.

I like that someone can be inspired by Pavement and ake good shit. Unlike that Beepadoobie (or whatever tf she is called) who sings a song called "I wish I was Stephen Malkmus" yet somehow still sounds painfully uninpsired and cringey to a glaring fault. Her music is just really, really, really difficult on the ear.

Not like Barnett, who is a legit artist. Also, her gf is from the town where I grew up.

They sound really different tbh - I guess the voice rambling on and on thing is similar but that wasnt completely signature to Dylan and honestly things, at least genre wise, music get its definition in genre from where the rhythm section is

In the case of Dylan its not there for most of his work since he meant it to come across off as poetic works until he tried merry-go-rounding with an electric guitar

and the genre here Barnett takes a from is energy you wouldnt ever get from a Dylan record in terms of size of groove

not to take away from this artist because its equally with merit but I think sonically theyre worlds apart
