Not having enough time to play the games I own, indeed.

my ability to react without losing my entire game plan is very weak

like in starcraft 2, if i get attacked and i have to change my strategy, i generally zone in on the micro of the catastrophe and completely forget to build units or tech differently in a timely manner

i probably fare better vs AI than people who are similar to my skill level in games because they are utterly predictable, but i'm way weaker most of the time (except SF4, somehow I was just good at that one game in general)

Honestly, just the fact that I'm terrible at them in general. Considering how much I play, I should not be nearly as bad as I am. It's pretty pathetic. Just like everything I do.
This, and also the part where I hardly even have the motivation to play games in the first place anymore.

I wish I could enjoy open world games. If you give me too many options or too much freedom then I kinda lose interest as I'm such an indecisive person.

I'm more of a A-B kinda guy. Which is a shame as I'm missing out on some amazing games

The older I get, the less time I have, the more I hate RNGs
If something has 1% drop rate and you do the same thing 99 times and still don't get it, it makes you the false assumption that the next time you try you will get it, right? because it's 1% chance to get!
But then you realize that the next time is actually independent of the previous 99 tries and you still have 1% chance to get it the next time
So you actually wasted 3 hours doing nothing, achieveing nothing. No progress whatsoever. Total waste of time

I wish more games used "Pseudo-Random" like in Dota 2. The chances are lower initally but with every attempt they increase, until it proc, and then the chances reset. At least like that "wasting time" would actually make progress

This is most evident in Final Fantasy XII. Man some of the treasure chest rates were astronomical

i think my current frustration is games that don't teach how to play very well or quickly. They expect you to invest a dozen hours before you really know what the game is like

i don't want to waste a couple days of my life learning that i'm not a fan of your roguelike!

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

i've evaded fighting game frustration by having a couple of friends that are equally bad at fighting games, and we'll periodically learn a new one and play casually together

i do think with advanced matchmaking and streaming becoming more popular, it's easier to realize what actual good play looks like. there have been a few multiplayer games where i've reached the peak level i can get to without going full tryhard and sucking all the fun out of it
