bought one for $2.50 at safeway just to get home, cut into it, and see that it's bad (i know how to feel for when one's ripe, too; or at least, i thought i did, anyway)
ended up just throwing it away, annoyedly would you guys have gone all the way back to the store and try to get an exchange or refund or something? --- It's as if it were all a dream. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I usually just stop giving my business to them for awhile. If it's a place of convenience, I just stop getting that item. I stop eating at food places up to a year or 2 tho. Vote with my wallet.

Nah, but if it happens regularly I stop getting produce from certain places. Some stores just always have produce that seems to go bad within a day or two and it's super annoying since I have a mostly vegetarian diet.

If I needed a replacement avocado and was going back to the store anyway I would. My store, Publix, is really good about that sort of thing. I've taken spoiled meat back to them before and they exchanged it no questions asked. Just showed the receipt and the package date.
