I tried playing through the game a year ago on the Switch, made it about 3 hours before I had to stop, and then I just never picked up the game again. It felt like there was just sooooo much stuff to keep track of, that I would have to play the tutorial again just to remember, and so I never played it again.

I saw it was $7 on the Xbox One today, which I have heard its a way better experience than on the Switch, so I figured i would try it out. I also watched a couple beginner guides, and they all said that when you start it seems waaay more complicated than it actually is.

3 hours in now, already way passed where I made it last time, seems really fun! The leveling is super slow though... still havent even made it to level 2.

I loved watching the show, are there a lot of tie ins and spoilers for future seasons in the game? Already saw Yennifer...

Played Witcher 3 and seen season 1 of the netlfix series. Youll be okay playing the game without worrying about spoilers for the future seasons of the Witcher tv show. Both are different enough as the saying goes same same but different

Witcher 3 is a game with a lot of depth that you have to give time to develop. You did yourself a favor by giving it a second chance, sure wish I could play that game again for the 1st time.

Witcher 3 is CDPR's sequel to the books. The show covers the books. So there are absolutely spoilers in the game. The last Witcher 3 expansion has a direct reference to the ending of the books in the last segment.

That being said, spoilers do not hurt my enjoyment of the series and I doubt they will for anyone else. Not really a series that depends on plot twists.

Am I the only one who thinks the Witcher, Geralt at least, is like the Batman of this crazy fantasy world? Like yeah he can whoop ass, but his biggest strengths are in his detective work, figuring out where curses came from, figuring out weaknesses, having time to plan...

IIRC, Quests give the majority of XP in Witcher, so just killing random enemies isn't going to do much. Note that some quests have a suggestd range, so if you get too high above it, the XP gains plummet. I think that starts happening at five levels above the recommended level?

I am still on the first griffin quest, I heard it is best to do all the side quests and investigate all the question marks before you advance the story?

Also the bears at the question marks totally destroyed me, Im only level 1 and they are like level 6

Exploring all the question marks as Noob Geralt isn't necessarily recommended, especially since it brings you to areas with high-level enemies and the next areas you unlock are gigantic. It'd be another story if you know where to go, of course.
