Realistically the point is you seriously have to be aware that most people at work have different personalities and behaviours so these woman might be as appealing

But the worst thing you can get fired

Its not an issue with HR if you do it respectfully and you know shes single but it could obviously lead to a ton of awkwardness in the office.

I hate this job. I was getting ready to quit this summer then I met her and i was like fuck.

she turns purple and gaunt with horror, starts stumbling backwards, trips over a desk, storms out screaming, you are charged with assault, lose your job, home, and everyone that loves you, now you suck dick for crack while crying into your damp newspaper blanket and you're thirsty from your semen crack mouth being so dry. so dry.

However, if one person falls under the other's reporting structure, then never okay.

If it's like a temporary gig that you're quitting in summer anyway, might be alright.

I did it a lot in the past. I met, dated and worked with my now wife for years without many issues. I'm pretty average looking, so I just managed to not be a creep and things went fine.

Also, if I do ask her out it should just be straight up right? Like no insecurities. Like not say "This my be a long shot, but do you wanna grab lunch or drinks sometime". Or not let her now I am nervous about the whole thing.

As far as people saying don't shit where you eat, it really depends on what the job is. If it's somewhere you want to be longterm, I wouldn't. If you're in retail or something, who gives a fuck.

Yeah, if you decide this is a good idea, don't preface it. Just straight up ask, and don't make it a specific day because that gives more outs. Like on a Friday, ask "Would you be interested in getting a drink after work sometime next week?" Asking on a Friday makes sense bevauae you are offering up all of next week as an option but implying you are busy that night. Also, a drink is better than lunch. Lunch is too much of a co worker thing. Also, drinks is always better. That can lead to dinner and then maybe even more activities. Lunch (or people that do morning coffee dates) gives the date an endtime. My best first dates kept going.
