Good work ethic is one thing. Committing actual effort to something that will benefit you is good.

But overworking yourself unnecessarily and for little actual benefit to yourself is bad.

if the bosses werent benefitting off labor then there wouldnt be a business to hire labor.

you can have both, you can have a boss make profits and the workers make great wages. They arent mutually exclusive.

uh like 30-50 years ago it was still mostly common to work 80+ hours a week on farms and in some countries on collectivized farms owned by the State where you'd put in that time and not even own anything
