I understand Nero and V but I have no fucking idea whats going on with Dante. I get that he's the OG character and I'm sure longtime fans have no problem with his presence but I feel like the game didn't explain how to use his moveset very well. He both has two weapons to choose, two guns, and four stances. Also can he like not do aerial combos? Because he always does the down slash in the air unless I switch to the gauntlets.

It's just so much to get ahold of on a single character.

I kinda wish the game focused on just one or two characters

its the same as 4. The game just kind of gives you Dante with everything already and assumes youve been playing the whole series

My only other game like this is Bayonetta 1+2 so it's overwhelming for me

Also, you can do an aerial combo if you use your sword master special w/his sword in air.

Dante is as complex as you want him to be. You don't have to equip all his weapons or use all his styles. Take your time messing around with his vast array of tools

It's easy, you just GUNTRICKSWORDROYALGUTRICKSWORDGUNROYALTRICKSWORDGUN

But real answer: if you're trying to learn him stick to Trickster and maybe Swordmaster until feel more comfortable incorporating the other styles.

The only way to learn how to play Dante is to get good.
There's probably some tutorials on youtube, but the easiest way is to either just play the campaign or do practice mode.

use a move, switch weapon, maybe fire some bullets, switch gun, do a stance specific thing based on the situation, switch stance

then you just do that fast for SMOKING SEXY STYLE

dmc5 is the absolute worst place to start playing dmc, its like walking in on just the last lord of the rings movie and expecting to get whats going on. they dont explain dante because he's played the same way for the past three games

if yo want to just get by, just mainly stick to swordmaster and trickster for your weapons and learn their moveset like you did red queen for nero
