It will be a mid cycle promo which are rarely done. In a couple of months. From what my manager (who put in her notice) has said, they are now very worried I wont come back. And one of the biggest orgs we support has been very vocal of the high turnover on our team and how its been impacting them. Theyve been asking about me specifically. Now management realizes they messed things up with me (this is what she said not me). The idea with the promo is that I would lead hiring for that org and indirectly manage the other team members that support it.

Meanwhile, I went from interviewing with 3 companies to 9 LOL. Ive only actually applied to 2 of them, the rest have sought me out. Not really sure which way Ill go yet or if I want to accept the promotion, but feels good man.

Thanks! And yeah I came back in late 2019 and was supposed to get promoted within a few months. Then a bunch of BS happened and they kept pushing it.

Thats the plan. My manager said that I can essentially share my terms with them (within reason) and I will most likely get what I want.

Thanks! Yeah it feels nice to hear they realized it should have happened sooner. I really think they withheld it due to my maternity leave (which is discriminatory but wtv). They just didnt expect the entire team to quit shortly I left.

That's awesome Cleo....I'm really not surprised because it's you...I mean that in the best possible way.
But ya, companies are actually starting to notice talent a lot more than they used to...or maybe appreciate it is the better word.
Would it be a salaried position? Those can be a bit hairy when you are working crazy hours.

But either way, it sounds like your options are wide open and that's a good thing.
I'm juggling the two job thing and I can tell both places really don't want to see me leave..in a way I've never really felt before.

Thank you! Im already salaried and I prefer that tbh. Its nice to make my own schedule. Some weeks are busy and Ill work extra but its also nice to dick around on weeks that are less busy.

Thank you! I know its been a journey. It started when they promoted someone over me who wasnt performing as well as I was. Even HR was shocked by it. So I quit. Then they fired the manager I had because he was toxic and promoting people he shouldnt. We got a new manager and VP who convinced me to come back and that theyd do me right. Only for a company merger to happen and that VP was replaced a few months after I came back. Then they denied me recently without any real reason, which I figured was because of my maternity leave. Im not really sure I will even stay after everything. If I come across an opportunity where they will match the promo level I got, I will most likely take it and leave.

Thank you! I hope so. Ive heard pay raises have been very stingy even with promotions. But Im hoping theyre in enough of a bind now to be open to it.

Whoa, I don't think I've ever heard you say a 'swear' word. Not that that is in the context but still! Hehe..

Ya, as long as they don't abuse your hours then that sounds great.
In one job I could probably cut my hours if I wanted, but I haven't yet.
And in the other, I basically go in hick some ass, and get out.
It's restaurant work, so you basically paid according to how busy it is.
The mix is working for me right now.
