You are tasked to be on a 1 man new exploration. Space is to go beyond mars, Sea is to go into a newly discovered depths thats deeper than what we thought was the deepest?

Space craft fails, you get sucked into the void and die. Submarine fails, you get crushed to bolognese and die.

Ocean because of the sea people (they are the ones piloting the UFOs).

Neither of them is really a source of fear for me, but I am risk averse so I wouldn't do either one unless they were safe and to the point where its basically a commercialized tour with little to no risk. No way in hell i'd ever be a one man exploration team.

A trip beyond Mars would take months, maybe years, and staying for that long in a vessel the size of an RV would eventually drive me crazy.

Submarines, however, regularly return to port and can and will sail on the sruface, so... well, I only need to wrestle with occasional thalassophobia. I'd probably keep a gun by my side, though, so that if the sub goes too deep and will not come up, I can off myself before the inevitable implosion.

No we don't lol. Not even remotely close. We can map out stuff like moon easier than we can the ocean but we don't know more about space in its entirety.

This is true. Just because we know more about space in terms of how much we know doesn't mean we know more in terms of percentage. Space is just infinitely massive vs our oceans which is finite.

Ocean because of the demonic sea creatures they have down there. Space is scary because of black holes + asteroids but at least you won't run into something that looks like it came out of a Lovecraft book out there.

The scale of space is frightening, but also comforting in a way. There are a lot of hazards, but most of them are just so far away.

Say what you will about the creatures down there in the ocean depths, but it's the pressure that really creeps me out.

asteroids are spaced on average 600,000 miles away from each other within the belt so should be easy to dodge. idk about the death beams
