Certainly not Reagan. His trickle down economics are still having negative effects on the middle and lower classes

Reagans economics were why the 90s were considered one of the Golden eras. Hes definitely a top tier president no matter how you slice it. When both Republicans and democrats both mostly agree that you were awesome, you probably were

Reagan had his good points. He was super presidential for one. He also handled the USSR really well. I don't hate Reagan by any means, but while he got the stock market booming, it also caused a bigger disparity between the rich and the poor that continues to this day.

I think the thing that people don't understand about supply side economics is that it does work great. But you have to fluctuate how you tax. You can use supply side for awhile, then switch to raising taxes. By jumping between the two tax systems, you get the most bang for your buck.

Lincoln, probably.

Preserved the union. Most important thing any president has done.
Redefined the notion of the nation. The whole before civil war, it was your state first, US second, the US was referred to in plural (the US are vs the US is). After the war, it was US first, state second, and as a singular nation.
Was the catalyst for many of the US's largest steps forward for equal rights.
Greatly expanded the powers a president could wield. (not necessarily a good thing, but a large impact nonetheless)
His second inaugural address, which happened in the middle of the civil war, was still calling for unity and reconciliation. Best presidential speech ever.

Washington at 2, FDR at 3, Teddy and Jefferson toss up at 4 and 5.

What myths?
He was a great general who led the army to victory. Even if people talked shit about him, and even actively conspired against him, he never retaliated, he always did what was best for the country. Being the first president also had the potential for significant abuse of power. He largely defined the role of the executive. Theres a reason why he dominated his elections.

Nah he didn't kill the guy.

Anyway another interesting thing was that the assassin had two pistols and both misfired.

It's assumed that it was humidity or weather that effected them.
