Current Events > Cells At Work legitimately gets me emotional sometimes. Especially Code Black.

It's really bizarre! I very rarely get choked up while watching cartoons/anime and shit, but vanilla Cells At Work I'd get kinda emotional a few eps. And now while watching Code Black? Holy shit, I actually teared up a couple times.

I guess it's cuz seeing the miracle of life that is our bodies personified into fun anime characters? It really helps you appreciate how complex the human body is, and I think that feeling of gratitude is what's making me misty-eyed. Especially given how depressing some parts of Code Black are.

Dunno if this is common with the community for that show, but still. Le blogfaqs, either way.

It's such a fun series. Code black might be better than the main series imo. Some of those episodes are too fuckin real. Except for cancer, it's mostly happy go lucky. Code black makes me relfect on my own lifestyle.

I guess the main series has better animation since its Davidpro but code black is just awesome all around

Yeah at the risk of sounding, idk, preachy or something, I really didn't like the approach they took on cancer. A little too silly and light-hearted. And kinda weird turning one of the worst diseases known to man into a sympathetic villain that you're just misunderstanding.

Honestly, if I were writing those eps, I would've written it as a zombie apocalypse kinda scenario, since that's basically what cancer cells are. But eh, I'm just a retired medic not a manga artist, what do I know \_ ()_/
