The rotors have a constant head speed and the collective pitch of the swash plate controls the positive and negative thrust of a Helicopter. If your motor/engine fails(in the video it was his transmission pinion gear) you can go negative tilt on the rotor to gain rotation, then slam positive to "bounce" and land the Helicopter.
