Only the right tries to censor science. For religious reasons

this is incredibly wrong. the "left" has been anti-science that they view as too "woo" for a long time. for example, people allegedly on the left will oppose all alternative medicine because they are either authoritarians who view stupid people that eschew legitimate treatment in favor of only alternative treatment as a problem we must lie about instead of acknowledging that virtually every alternative medicine is clinically proven to be at worst a negligible effect, other times above placebo, and sometimes a positive addition, which only serves to decrease their own legitimacy and create more people that ignore their advice, or people who are just shills for pharma and want to push solutions that are profitable for themselves.

For the record, you're not in the "essence reduction/water vibration" camp, are you?

Alternative medicine by definition is medical treatments which exist outside of medical science. Shit like acupuncture, shungite, anti-5G tinfoil hats, whatever. If you do it for fun, whatever. If you do it for the placebo affect, great. If you try to promote it as an actual alternative for proven medical treatments, fuck off and get imprisoned.

plenty of alternative medicines have legitimate studies showing that they are above placebo or placebo. literally only a very minor fringe is ever promoting them instead of proper treatment. I have had a lot of medical issues and had legitimate success with things not provided by my doctor in improving my condition, often things with legitimate studies showing effectiveness.

Ivermectin - much like HCQ - was thought to show promise at one stage. It was later found to be ineffective. Every time this happens, the conspiracy crowd tend to act like it's being covered up (rather than, y'kno, it just not working).

TC is either trying to slowly bait people into that, or has fallen for it themself. That's all that's going on here.

How would an anti-parasitic that you use to treat an infection, or prevent one in an exposure area be an alternative to a vaccine for a virus? Are you going to take it every day for the rest of your life? It has definitely not been tested for that kind of dosing.

It reads like he has fallen for it himself because he found some youtube star he likes. He also can't seem to acknowledge the difference between a treatment and a vaccine.

Its really amazing how selfish and dumb people are with the vaccine stuff. The hypocrisy and irrationality in seemingly all attempted justifications to not get a vaccine are comical. You couldn't make it up for a comedy about how doomed we are as a society.

That's because ivermectin isn't a fucking alternative to the vaccine

Recently, an article by Caly et al. 1 reported that ivermectin in hibited severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in vitro causing an ~ 5,000-fold reduction in viral RNA at 48 hours with ivermectin at 5 M. The concentration resulting in 50% inhibition (IC50) of 2 M (1,750 ng/mL) is > 35 higher than the maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) of 0.05 M (46.6 ng/mL)2 after oral administration of the approved dose (~ 200 g/kg) and ivermectin showed little to no activity 1 M in vitro. Because ivermectin is highly bound to serum albumin (93%),3 the IC50 is orders of magnitude higher than the unbound plasma Cmax after approved doses of ivermectin (0.0035 M; 3.26 ng/mL).

Did you experience any adverse effects or death due to taking the covid vaccine in 2021?

Too bad! Big-pharma has immunity! You'd only get a pittance anyway.

1) you can sue for whatever you want if it's due to manufacture negligence, hiding data, etc

2) you can't sue a manufacturer because you're allergic to an ingredient, just like you can't sue Red Lobster for the same reason.

3) telling a manufacturer that they have to have a vaccine out in less than a year, then also saying they can be sued for any adverse event, not exactly a rational thing to do

4) anti-vaxxers are paranoid morons who spread misinformation like STDs

Most of this BS comes from Del Bigtree's "Highwire" though many anti-vax people don't make even a passable attempt to verify any of the misinformation they spread, so most of them get it from anti-vax message boards and Twitter.

Anti elitism is probably part of it. But then, some of the people who are big in these fields are elitists themselves. But I guess they can come at it as "I went to the same schools they went to, so I know what they really think"

The part where they act as if they're totally rational people who are coming at it from "facts and science" and "facts don't care about your feelings" is what annoys me the most. They, like all of us, are emotional. They are not some rational unfeeling person
