It's stats are extremely lopsided, as it has an absurdly high Attack stat and a very high Speed stat, but it's defensive stats are like paper; not helped by the fact that Darmanitan needs to be at 50% HP to activate Zen Mode. At least Gar had that spicy 4x Ice weakness, weak coverage options (not that it really needed them), and had to choose between Swords Dance and Choice Band, and unboosted there were many things that could survive hits from it.
