Cant copy save from Switch so if it breaks, you lose your progress or you can use their paid cloud service. And because of the save thing, you cant even buy 2 copies of Animal Crossing so your sibling can play their own island, they'll need another switch. Locking content behind amiibos Years old remasters costing more than original These are only a few points i can think of. Oh actually, locking Epona behind an amiibo on Botw is also a sin. The owl statues that were in the game weren't spread far enough apart to be an inconvenience to me. It's nice to have but doesn't bother me that much. I've gotten used to fairly significant features being locked behind amiibo for a while now. I can access those features anyway. The games that you would especially want it for--Pokemon, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, for example--cannot use it, so if your Switch breaks or gets lost or stolen, then you're SOL.
