You'd be surprised how often a bathroom lock is just broken or prone to locking after the door closes. When I worked on the road I saw it at least once or twice a week.

I hate this shit. People at my old job did this all the time. If the door is locked, someone is in there, and they hear you repeatedly rattling the handle. If you knock im gonna take longer just to spite you

Yeah, if I know it's locked I'll aggressively push and pull on the door to freak them out. If no one is around, I'll start banging on the door with a closed fist and yell at them to hurry up.

People that knock in general are annoying. If its a single bathroom then check if the door is locked first. If it is then walk away for about 10 mins then come back to check again or stand there and wait.

People dont want to be disturbed while they are in the bathroom.
