difficulty.

Never played Demon Souls so unsure where to put that.

I could be biased since DS1 was the first one I played, so I am ranking it the hardest, however, DS1 has so much jank and generally difficult things without looking up a guide or strategy. Oh you got randomly hit by a lizard in the sewers? Goodbye half health. Sen's fortress - need I say anything? Then most of the bosses were fundamentally difficult such as Manus, Centipede, O&S, Four Kings, etc.

I think the rest of the games take a big nose dive in difficulty after DS1, but again, this could be because of being more experienced at the games. DS3 is #2 due to Friede, Midir and Gael mostly. Champion Gundyr took a few tries as did Soul of Cinder and a few others making it #2.

DS2 was only tough IMO because of the DLC and weird gimmick bosses like Royal Rat Authority where if you don't kill the minions in 10sec you're immediately screwed. Nothing was fundamentally difficult about the game, imo. F the reindeer too in the ice DLC.

Bloodborne is honestly just R1 spam outside of Orphan, which even then shouldn't be too difficult if you're halfway decent at the game. Then Sekiro is arguably the toughest game when starting out, however, once you get good at deflecting and understanding the insane amount of combat mechanics, you can basically breeze through every fight. That being said, I will say that Owl (Father) was the hardest From Software boss for me at least but does not make up for how easy the rest of the game was.

Thoughts/opinions? I'd like to hear others' thoughts.
