Thats how i interpreted what my doctor told me. Like i can go out normally after my first shot right

Studies have shown pretty high levels of immunity after just the first shot, but you should still get both

According this this CDC study from March, a few weeks after your first shot you have a 80% reduction in risk of infection. After the second shot, that number rises to 90%.

To add, you get the exact same shot both times. It isn't an A, then B thing.

You need to clarify this. Even after the second shot it doesn't mean you should be out there like the pandemic is over.

Much lower risk of getting it and a less severe infection if you do still get sick. Instead of a moderate to severe or fatal infection you will get likely get a mild or asymptomatic infection

Your risk of death with the vaccine is nearly zero

You can still get sick and spread the virus to others even with the one shot.
