Was thinking of going to like a Friendly's one morning to get breakfast.

Drinking a few rounds of Booze/Liquor by yourself at a restaurant is usually seen as weird tho.

Used to go to a buffet during my lunch hour.

Little bit, but you can just ask for a booth out in the corner or something if you feel awkward or eat at the counter. Personally I'd rather just take it to go than sit there if I'm not with somebody.

Thats one of the reasons we Americans go out to eat, to stare at the people sitting alone, its a great confidence booster

When I traveled out of the country, I eat by myself all the time. No its not weird at all. But I do feel awkward and avoid eating at sit down dine in restaurants by myself here in the USA unless its a fast food dine in restaurant like eating a bowl of pho in a Vietnamese restaurant or going to Mexican food taqueria

No but it is annoying to talk to a waiter alone imo unless youre at a counter/bar. Thats just me. Ill take out at a sit down table restaurant.

At a fast food or fast casual place though, literally nobody cares.
