See I had no problem with this when they dropped the reveal that she'd been setting up the runes she saw in Agatha's lair earlier. That was great.

I wonder if people were disappointed that the fake quicksilver turned out to be nothing and not the hint to x-men/multiverses that people were hoping for?

At first I was like "oh house in the middle of nowhere in a beautiful pacific northwest looking area, how very The Hulk-like" especially with her being a fugitive and all.

But then... ? Wandavision was in the kitchen but then she wasn't? Wait it just hit me was she astral projecting while reading the darkhold that she somehow got hold of?

And what was with the "mom help please" with her fake kids who supposedly stopped existing when she ended the spell right.

She was astral projecting and studying like Strange did, yes, and presumably just took the Darkhold from Agatha.

The kids are Young Avengers setup. If it goes anything like the comics they'll be back, aged up to teens to join the YA alongside Cassie Lang, Kate Bishop, and several others.

Super team consisting of Wanda and Vision's kids (Wiccan and Speed), Kate Bishop aka Hawkeye II, Cassie Lang aka Stature, Eli Bradley aka Patriot, a half Kree half Skrull who goes by the superhero name Hulkling, and Ironlad. Later on they introduce more members like Kid Loki, the post death and resurrection good guy Loki.

The MCU likely won't use Ironlad but Wiccan and Speed are already set up, Kate Bishop will be in the Hawkeye show, Eli Bradley was in F&TWS, and Cassie Lang has obviously been a thing in the Ant-Man films. Kid Loki might very well be a thing after his show.

Yes.

Wanda can warp reality, and in the comics their creation is tied to Mephisto shenanigans. Them being reborn isn't a stretch.

They were more than just her creations in the comics, and there's a few minor hints to that in the show. It seems likely that she was just used to conjure up physical forms for whatever they are. So, their bodies probably vanished but they still have a bond with her. I'm guessing she was trying to learn how to bring them back permanently.

People keep acting like the kids aren't real. The show literally said they may be created by magic but they are absolutely real. They specifically addressed this statement.

Speaking of skrulls who was the black woman again? The one who now has powers? Is she supposed to be the TV captain marvel like how falcon will be TV captain america?

Falcon isn't "TV Captain America" he's now Captain America in the MCU and is headlining a fourth Cap film.

She's the daughter of Carol's friend in the MCU and in the comics has been called both Photon and Captain Marvel. She'll be in the Captain Marvel sequel (called The Marvels) alongside Ms Marvel who is getting a show as well.

But she got her powers from the mind stone too? I mean if she got it from Wanda's red field, which in turn was from the mind stone, then what are they gonna make everyone's powers come from the mind stone now?

Wanda had her powers before the mind stone, it just supercharged them. And Monica gets her powers in the MCU from getting rewritten by the Hex twice. In the comics it's different.

She's likely going to be antagonistic for a portion of Strange 2 but I doubt she's an out and out villain.

Colorless Vision fucked off for now, we'll see what they do with him.

Good point. Wait I forget was it the space stone though, not the power stone?

The stone powers... how do they work. If someone got their powers from a stone does that make the stone weaker, like an absorption thing. Does the person become stronger than the stone ever was. Is it like the stone power combined with whatever power they had makes for the super powers we see

Same thing with gamorra and loki, it's a way to keep the actor in the role because the originals were killed off by Thanos. Personally I don't like it, removes all the weight of the death if it doesn't last.

I absolutely loathe that, but don't want to get into how much I hate stuff like that. It particularly bothered me in Agents of Shield with Fitz. LMD Coulson too.

She's going to be an anti-hero. Doing evil stuff occasionally that we'll be sympathetic towards because she lost her parents to the bomb, her brother in avengers, her lover in avengers again and temporarily her children. Her fear of losing them when she actually does lose them for good will drive her over the edge.

Liking the memes and jokes I've found so far about the finale/dumping all over fan theories etc. Overall meh, but in the grand scheme of things I might like it more in a few years like how I retroactively liked Phase 1/post Phase 1 movies after avengers 1.

Also might like it more if it's meant to be the Start of Darkness to Scarlet Witch and how she won't really be a "superhero" but more of an anti-hero type.

I really liked the Vision-Vision philosophizing on the Ship of Theseus though. That was great, especially since I'd recently finished the Zero Escape game so it was nice seeing that discussed again.

The Disney+ MCU shows are 100% canon. They're a direct continuation of the movies and will impact future movies the same way. Sam Wilson's already confirmed to have a movie set after FatWS and Wanda will be in Dr. Strange 2 set after Wandavision.

Hope the rush of movies we're getting in fall and next year will be good, these shows have been akin to bite sized appetizers before the main course.

Agents of Shield was confirmed to not be a part of the MCU, I believe

From my understanding the ads they show in the series were supposed to be Dr Strange trying to help out Wanda.

Went back to rewatch some of them... that would have been a somewhat interesting idea. They don't seem to be anything more than cute little references and easter eggs.

I do like that for the malcolm in the middle era episodes they referenced nickelodeon/cartoon network esque commercials; that made me smile

Ghost Rider portaled off to some cold looking mountain to try and hide it. Crappy job of it. But I think Agents was confirmed to split off from the MCU and is no longer considered canon.

iirc Strange was/is only able to do this while unconscious - hed study in astral form while his body slept at night. But Wanda is somehow able to project while still awake and going about her daily routine

Shes far more powerful than Strange and I cant wait to see what they do with her in DS2.

It's doesn't really "belong" to any particular comic. It's been in a lot of horror comics, though. Starting with "Werewolf by Night". in the Marvel comics vampires were first created by using the Darkhold.

So was this series supposed to explain/show her powers and that she's straight up magic like the Dr strange movie? The magic seemed to range from mind control to telekinesis, not quite sure what it is or if she can also straight up conjure stuff out of thin air like a sword or whatever.
