That's cuz the Zeo powers were strong as shit, and they downgraded to worse powers. Plus, TJ's team wasn't as experienced as Tommy's.

Thankfully, In Space and Lost Galaxy redeemed things by making two of the best seasons in the entire franchise.

Er did anyone actually watch the show past Zeo? My siblings had the turbo movie, but Zeo was the last time I was into the show. It was basically the gold/silver/crystal of power rangers, and turbo was ruby/sapphire

In Space is absolutely fantastic and it would have been a great way to end the series like they originally planned.

It's crazy how Power Rangers has survived so many attempted cancellations.

Zeo definitely got it right in their themed song.

Time Force is the best standalone season imo, it's a season that you really need to know nothing about Power Rangers in order to enjoy.

Space is usually considered the best because it's basically the climax of the entire Zordon Era and there's a ton of fanservice and callbacks to previous seasons. It also has the best villain. So in order to fully appreciate it you probably would have had to seen MMPR, Zeo, Turbo previously.

And in my opinion RPM is also on the same level as these three. RPM pretty easily has the best writing in Power Rangers imo. They fired the director halfway through the series which really sucked but it still maintains it's quality for the most part, but the first half of RPM especially is excellent imo and probably the one I'd recommend to any adult fan wanting to get into Power Rangers.

Yeah and it makes sense because the director that took over is Judd Lynn, who was the director for second half of Turbo-Time Force.

I wish someday Eddie Guzelian comes out and tells what his original script for RPM would have been.

I personally think Beast Morphers being a sequel to RPM is an insult. It's definitely an ok season, but I don't think it comes anywhere near RPM. But as you said it's way better than the rest of the shitty Neo-Saban seasons aside from Dino Charge.

Forcing people to watch the movie first was a bad call.

It really didn't help that most of the original cast was gone at this point and one of the team members was a kid.

Power rangers as a franchise was kind of falling apart too. People quitting, writing themselves into corners by abusing source material, and fans starting to grow out of the series when Turbo started.

I remember tuning into the finale of Lightspeed or Timeforce. I had stopped following the rangers until that point, but remember it being pretty epic.

I think the city was being attacked, rangers were mostly separated fighting desperate battles, one ranger kinda flew in or something like Hermes the Greek God.

Only reason I didn't care about Turbo is because the zords sucked. Cars? F*** that, I want animals.

I gave up with Turbo. didn't like Justin and having the Zords be cars was pretty lame to me. I seen a few episodes of Space. the first couple, one where there was a Silver ranger and one where it looked like a giant space gang fight.

A few years back I rewatched MMPR up through where I stopped as a kid (halfway through Turbo), and continued on through Space and Lost Galaxy. Then started watching Lightspeed Rescue but couldn't get through it.

Kinda wanna go back to revisit it but it's not on Netflix anymore. I want to catch up on some of the seasons that people rave about

Yeah, Time Force is one of my favorites. It def has my favorite team of Rangers. I actually watched through the whole thing again a few years back and still found it pretty solid.

My regret is not sticking around one more year for Wild Force, since I know if I had seen Forever Red as a kid, it would've been one of the highlights of my childhood.

In their defense, the Japanese counterpart of Turbo was made as a joke season to parody the franchise as a whole. So they were kinda boned in attempting to adapt that into something semi-serious to match the tone of Power Rangers in English. They did the best they could, all things considered.

I initially watched up to Wild Force, then lost interest a few episodes in as I didn't care for the theme or characters. Started watching again when SPD came out, but the timeslots by this point were horrible and I had to stop again.

and yes a common complaint is 'they went from these powers and these Zords to THIS, WTF?!', but again we have to realize this is due to the next Sentai series being adapted and all of those are individual stories with their own teams. Saban had to make up some kind of excuse as to why they were changing around as they ran out of footage from the previous series.

Red gets beaten down, until his rival, the Vegeta of the series, comes to save him. They come to terms they will both die fighting together and have no regrets, until the rest finally arrive. Again, I love Timeforce.

No. That would be Operation Overdrive. They lose their powers and just shrug it off completely fine about not being Rangers and go back to their normal life, and some older Rangers have to step in to take care of business.
