Mechanically its great, but the actual game is abysmal. Like 30 of my 106 hours so far have been just standing in one spot waiting for motherfuckers to stop talking with nothing else to do because the game wants you to pay absolute attention to its hilariously bad story

I played almost all of Borderlands 2 on couch co-op last year, and even that was awful. I can't believe I could even tolerate that when I was younger, but that was all we had.

The standing around waiting for dialog that they're clearly very proud of to finish is why I stopped playing. I got 2 characters maxed, but there was no way in hell I was doing another one, and I just have to assume DLC has the same shit.

the worst part is that you cannot just know where you need to go next and get a head start while they spew cringe, because there is invariably always some stupid ass macguffin you need to take, or person or thing you need to interact with at the original location before the game lets you proceed
