I just got to the doll vampire house. Have about six hours in the game so far. I figure I'm about 50% done?

I got excited when I saw the Dark Souls style "kill the lords" thing and didn't realize that all their estates/levels would be minutes away lol. It really feels like the game is speeding to a red light, but I hope I'm wrong about that.

Well since the OP I'm about halfway through Factory.

I'm determined to finish it at this point. The last few stretches have felt like skipping through daisies. Don't get me wrong, it's fun and atmospheric, but I feel like Van Helsing. I'm not scared; I'm actively planning the brutal, precise murder of every werewolf in sight at this point though. On Hardcore it's just given me so much ammo.

Favorite moment in the game is, by far, Beneviento. I can see that section entering my top ten for horror setpieces in games. Right up there with the Wedding in Darkwood, the Hotel in Bloodlines, etc.

I mean I did it by hiding on the ladder in the house, but I cant imagine trying it on hardcore the first go through lol

If you got good at guarding first youd be alright I guess. Theyre so much spongier until you get the better weapons though. The vampires werent as bad as the lycans

Run them in circles, stall for time. I died a few times but I got the hang of it once I realized it was on a timer. Tbh, it's probably the hardest section in the game on Hardcore.

As a contrast, I annihilated the big wolf in the cornfield area near the end of the game. I didn't even know it was supposed to be one of the tougher enemies and had about 78 handgun ammo, 30+ shotgun, 4 mines, 4 pipe bombs, etc.
