Gay guy here who has been with the same guy since he was 18 years old.

I cant go a single day here without seeing countless topics where guys (usually straight) complain about being a virgin, as well as detailing their struggles about trying to talk to women. Some of you guys make it sound like ALL women are all super models, the kind who will only date you if you are mega rich and ultra smooth.

Not all women are like that Stop with the delusion. Real life is a lot nuanced.

i've been married 12 years and dated my wife like 7 years before that
i barely remember the beforetimes at this point
i never had trouble with meeting women (girls at that point) or having women (read: girls) interested in me, but i never really knew what to do with them after i got them

No, it's just an entirely different dynamic.
It comes to down to the fact that SO many fo the dudes you see on sites like this just don't get the rules of attraction, put zero effort into how they present, and expect sex to happen because "I'll treat you like a queen!" shit.

Toxic masculinity covers both ends of the spectrum, and the incels you see about Reddit and so forth are just as bad as rapey jocks. I mean, these are the people that turn SSB Melee scene into a grooming service.

Most lonely, frustrated dudes are there because they lack any compulsion to put effort into their shitty looks, lego man hair, and "me mum dresses me" clothing choices.

I agree with yout first point, but I think the scene you're referring to is the Ult/S4 scene. Us melee duders have removed the problematic ones and the big TO's have taken steps to address how they came up in the first place.

Melee is better now than it ever has been, and that's because when creeps come to light (Mafia, D1, etc) we remove them.

Soz, man. Just in a bad place with this atm. An online friend from here ended becoming a sizeable streamer and just got done for sexually manipulatice bullshit. I just don't trust people that come from having zero attention to do anything other than use their newfound importance to exploit others. We only hear about it when it comes out, and the reality is that those known examples are just the tip.

Depends
When I was single I had very little trouble meeting women and going out on dates. Unfortunately, there's a lot of straight up mentally ill people out there and for some reason crazy is my fetish. The amount of pretend pregnancies, suicide threats, and general crying for no reason I've encountered in my dating life is staggering.

Heres an example of a single 26 old female at work which i find attractive and talk to normally (as a coworker. Im married and she knows)

She says she doesnt care about how a guy looks but wants to be friends first when dating. Multiple people have asked her out and she says no cause thats too straight forward.

So in order to date her you have to be her friend first. So i even told her this will get out and guys will solely want to be friends to date you and should it not go there theyll ditch cause they just wanted to date.

I found this whole scenario annoying and just typically stay out of it and glad im not dating.

It's alright, homie. Yeah that is the sad reality. Generally I think the Melee scene is amazing and I've met lifelong friends through it, but I know it's hard to not be disillusioned when it happens with someone you thought you knew.

I know that recently one of our top players in the city was banned because of shit he did around 2014 and the fact that some people didn't want him removed "because he was a nice guy" was baffling to me. Being in any community is a privilege you lose when you attempt a sex crime.

That's why it's up to our players and TO's to make sure this toxic behavior is addressed and swiftly removed.

I'm sorry about your experience with said streamer, I can't assume it was easy going down. Hope you feel better about it when some time passes.

It's fine man! I knew him less well than many of our other ANZ GameFAQers. Just kinda got a bit close to home. I have zero tolerance for sex offenders and hate the fact I've unwittingly befreinded several over the years and didn't see shit for what it was when i had the chance.
